In honor of the Fourth of July, On3's J.D. PicKell has bestowed the title of "fireworks" upon several standout SEC players for their respective teams. Among these exceptional athletes, none shines brighter than Harold Perkins, the explosive force from LSU.

As a freshman during the previous fall season, Perkins showcased his remarkable skills in 14 games, earning him eight starts. He amassed an impressive 72 tackles, including 13 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and even secured an interception.

The SEC Championship game against Georgia witnessed Perkins reach his pinnacle performance of the season. He finished the game with an astounding 10 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a forced fumble. These statistics not only earned him the prestigious first-team All-SEC recognition but also secured his spot in the SEC All-Freshman and FWAA Freshman All-American teams.

Describing Perkins as a "firework player," PicKell proclaims that watching him in action is an absolute must. One particular game that resonates vividly is the clash against Arkansas, where Perkins left an indelible mark. With three sacks and two forced fumbles, he single-handedly dominated the field, ultimately leading LSU to a hard-fought victory. Throughout the game, Perkins shadowed Malik Hornsby relentlessly, showcasing his exceptional defensive prowess.

With the upcoming fall season on the horizon, the bar has been set incredibly high for Harold Perkins. Last season was undoubtedly exceptional, but the anticipation for his future performances is palpable. LSU fans eagerly await the fireworks he is undoubtedly capable of igniting on the field once again.
